This was one of those games where GP2 and Draymond would have been the definition of "defense to offense" for us especially in crunch time. Steph and Klay would have been more loose. We just couldn't get anything outside of the Wiggins post up in the halfcourt come closing time
I was only able to watch the 4th quarter. I must say that Jokic flopped often and got rewarded with FTs. In past games, we don’t even try to flop and we get rewarded with a foul.
Looks like our bench kept us in the game. But no matter how well they play, if Steph and/or Klay don’t shoot well, we won’t win games.
Would feel like more if an anomaly if we hadn’t been better without Steph *all season long.* Still think it’s an anomaly (like Steph’s weird bricking from 3 two years ago, or the absurd home-road split from last year) but it’s super weird and annoying af.
Anyway … I ain’t a-scared of Denver. F*ck them and the refs. We good.
That was an honest game. We played well, coaching choices were fine, everyone gave effort. I ain't mad at it. Some you just lose to a really good team at home. This does not make me pull out my hair like poor effort or Kerr not putting young players in. I would have liked to have seen more Kuminga down the stretch but I get it. A good game and EXTREMELY encouraging moving forward.
Bummer that when Jokic is clearly having a bad game, they just reward him with 18 FTs. Take a few of the soft calls away and this is a win. Hurts even more because the last time we played them could've also been a win if not for a couple bad calls.
Post-game. https://open.substack.com/pub/dubnation/p/post-game-warriors-almost-pull-off?r=3lm3s&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcome=true
Not a bad game, but Kuminga has to be on the court at the end, instead of either Klay or Šarič. That was a bad move.

Of course unhappy for the loss, but I feared it would have been worse, and Wiggins’s resurrection brings hopes for the future.
I didn’t like refs in last quarter, but Denver is a great team, let’s not forget it.

Kerr was even yelling at the refs earlier in the game, like yelling he's flopping, at the top of his lungs.
That was not a well officiated game, in my opinion
Wiggs +18
Kuminga -24
I don’t know what to believe anymore, other than the fact that Podz is a budding superstar.
Kuminga was playing with that scrub Steph a lot
True.
another classic Christmas clunker for Steph, oh well
Steph on -26
Steph off +20

Denver's bench can't keep up with the Warriors bench but vice versa for the starters.
We’re just sooooo undersized at every position against them. But we can still exploit Jokic on D if Steph and Klay are splashing.
Warriors may be the worst matchup for the Nuggets in the playoffs.
Not too upset. Played the Champs tough.
Klay and Kuminga have to be more aware on defense. Just some horrible decisions that cost this team.
That said, if Klay and Steph hit a couple more pf those open threes, we've got a chance of snatching this one.
On to the next.

The team gets into stretches where they just chuck 3s. Thought with CP3 there, he would realize to change it up.
Of course a guy who’s a career low to mid 80s FT shooting goes 18-18 from the line
Bullshit fouls and a shitty curry
Podz played well on the road in a marquee game.

Denver really went all out to stop Steph and forced him into insanely tough shots. He broke away for a few but they did a great job on him
