Are they too small, Ernie?
Inspirational verse from Steve Kerr 2023-10-07 pregame
Klay Thompson, you talked about towards the end of last season having conversations with him about becoming a more complete player and that's kind of the evolution of what players do as they age. What have you seen in terms of the early days of camp?
Maybe what he's done over the summer, maybe something different that you're seeing in terms of being a more complete player? Well, he's really in good shape, so that's a good starting point, you know, he's got the foundation to have a good camp and what we're really pounding home with Klay is the rebounding. If he can get more engaged on the glass and it doesn't necessarily have to show up in his rebounding totals. It's more in getting engaged in the fight, you know boxing out, hitting bodies, because we know as a team we have to be better in the margins this year. This is not 2017 where we can just out-talent people. We've got to be able to cut back our turnovers this year, rebound better, foul less. And Klay is you know a part of all of that. So that's that's what we're hammering home during camp.
Jama's gone, you know, Weems has kind of moved up. I'm just wondering, just coaching responsibility wise, what changes, what's kind of shifted? Who takes over? Like I know Jama did the sub patterns last year.
Chris Weems will take on the sub patterns in terms of getting it organized so that when we have our coaches meetings, we look at it. So he brings the rough draft and then we all go from there.
Otherwise, you know, Seth Cooper is taking over the developmental part of things from Jama. And I think we've structured things a little bit differently. We have pods this year where coaches are grouped together for both scouting purposes, depending on who we're playing, and then offense-defense as well.

Kerr refuses to foul up three. He will never learn.
A great game.unfortunately there are quite a few really good young teams out there. OKC is near the top of that list.
