At 2:34 in the video there's a defensive possession with Loon at the top of the 3-2 zone and Poole at one of the low spots. Do you think that was intentional because Plumlee was at the top? Or was it just early offense scrambling that got everyone out of position?

I think Divencenzo’s raised arms wasn’t a premature ejubulation, but rather him trying to look big because he thought Poole was a mountain lion.

Gonna push back couch and try that no-look, turnaround, premature 3-pt-celebration myself next game. F-ing Next Level Moses. Are we sure he isn’t lurking here and watching these? LOL

Kudos for highlighting the 3-2 defense after the box-and-1. Timpf mentioned that the Dubs' played a lot of 3-2 against POR and didn't mention the box-and-1 at all, so it was great to get a good look at the 3-2.

We need a higher frame-rate for the JK era. I need more slo-mo frames to shout: "No way, he's not gonna.... wow!!". I guess we have to work with whatever gets streamed to the Apricot Temple of Syrinx. Anyone here tried "Frame Interpolation" tools? Or maybe the drama is all the more compelling in flashes anyway!

Are they switching to zone without calling a timeouts again? Jason Kidd said that was one remarkable thing the Dubs were doing in the series with the Mavericks last year.

From Dalton Johnson:

"Poole scored a game-high 34 points, going 9 of 20 from the field and 5 of 12 on 3-pointers in the Warriors' win. Nobody short of a fortune teller could have foreseen those kind of final numbers from the electric guard."

Well, either a fortune teller or DNHQ commenter TwoRingTest, who was on record before the game with the statement:

"I just have this weird hunch that Poole is going to have a good game."

Good prognosticating there!

I am in a disgustingly good mood this morning. Part of it is waking up to find out that I am a citizen of the Republic of Looney Looney.

Just got my passport, which is in the shape of a rubber duck.

Bunch of internecine Western Conference battles tonight: NO@GS, LAC@SAC, MEM@DEN, UTA@OKC, MIN@LAL.

A Ws win would guarantee we gain ground on at least four teams (or five, if Portland falls to Atlanta).

My random stat of the day: we're 21-15 in conference this year; that's right, a 58% winning percentage! That still only puts us in 6th place, with Denver and Sacramento looking dominant against Western Conference foes and multiple teams in a jumble in the 56-59% range. The big loser here is Memphis, which is 8th instead of 2nd as they are in the full standings, and the LA Clippers who are 11th and one of only five teams in the West that are below 0.500 against Western Conference opponents:

Team Wins Losses Total WinPct

Denver 31 12 43 72%

Sacramento 24 13 37 65%

Phoenix 22 15 37 59%

Dallas 24 17 41 59%

Golden State 21 15 36 58%

New Orleans 20 15 35 57%

Memphis 20 16 36 56%

Minnesota 23 20 43 53%

Utah 21 19 40 53%

Portland 21 19 40 53%

LA Clippers 19 20 39 49%

LA Lakers 17 21 38 45%

Oklahoma City 15 22 37 41%

Houston 7 35 42 17%

San Antonio 6 32 38 16%

What a great win. Re: celebration. I've noticed that GPII and Steph have sat in street clothes next to each other the last few games. Both display obvious joy in success.

RE: 3 - 2 zone. Congrats, EA, on confusing future opponents. Looks like something else to me, but I am going to stay silent to avoid tipping off their film coordinators.

I know it is early but I have got to take umbrage with calling Westbrook an open "shooter". I would have accepted open man or open player but open shooter is just a brick too far.

Happy to see that lately celebrators just keep celebrating. Don't know if it's the addition of GP2 or if the league finally sent the email that they are not enforcing the celebratory bench tech anymore but the weaponized joy seems like it may be finally reappearing on the bench.
