Hey, DNHQ, I hope you like my writing ok. Work has me real busy and I just haven't had time for the detailed breakdowns.

Let me know if you have any preview requests!!

Another fun season eh?!

crusty quips's avatar

You are the necessary counterbalance to Daniel's punchy ebullience and Eric's whimsical musings

TwoRingTest's avatar

I hope you will stick with it ... I like your writing. But, if life intervenes, that's fine, too.

I hope no one is actually being critical.

AttilaTheHun's avatar

Man you know we all love your writing. You, Eric, and Daniel are what makes this place work. Well okay, the posters too! But y'all are our peerless leaders. Keep it coming.

Captain Jack's avatar

Phoenix has been on a roll since the slow start to the season

Loon Gehrig's avatar

Nice to see them gel so well after the KD trade.

Although they've had a really, really easy schedule so far (good win vs Spurs, though. and the home-away sweep vs the Clippers is decent). The Warriors might be 10-3 or 11-2 with the same schedule.

Ando's avatar

That's a sweet video.

dubbletrubble's avatar

I mean, he is tall. He’s just not basketball tall.

Sabiscrashingout.'s avatar

Tomorrow vs the Spurs is a cup game.

Bel's avatar

Darn, why wasn’t it the Wednesday game.

AttilaTheHun's avatar

Consider it extra incentive to shock the league and sweep the Spurs at their house.

belilaugh's avatar

Wow. I just found the website with the up-to-date DPM estimates and Will Richard is currently the highest rated rookie by DPM in the league, very slightly ahead of Cedric Coward (with both guys decently ahead of the next highest rated player).

Electric start for the 56th pick.

Richard F.'s avatar

In a more independent view on rookies, the Athletic ranks him 10th among this year’s rookies based on performance to date. Pretty amazing for a 56th pick. Let’s goooooooo!

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6791343/2025/11/14/nba-rookie-rankings-kon-knueppel-cedric-coward-cooper-flagg/

Go to the second sheet and filter for like 20 games played or fewer to isolate the rookies. Richard is also ranked 7th or 8th (depending on if you count Melton) in DPM on the Warriors this season, can filter by team too. Column AL is the DPM column, the first sheet has the DPM values closer to the names but you can't filter for team or games played on it.

Theoretically it'd be here on this more user friendly site but the site values haven't updated since the 5th game of the season from what I can tell: https://apanalytics.shinyapps.io/DARKO/

GovernorStephCurry's avatar

Moody ranked our 4th best player in there.

Kuminga at 230 in the league.

Horford very low too.

WCoastD's avatar

Super impressive, some people say that Coward is like MJ.

ServantOfLuna's avatar

Raptors and Cavs are just 0.5 games apart from each other after tonight's game.

cpt nemo's avatar

Raptors are fun to watch - and they seem to be playing almost everyday like the Dubs it seems

Loon Gehrig's avatar

Random "there's no Warriors game on tonight and even thursday night football involves the Jets" dumb question:

Would the Spurs trade Fox (Olynyk works as filler) for AD and would Dallas be able to get enough for Fox from a 3rd team to justify the trade? What team would want Fox (that can afford him)?

punk basketball's avatar

zero chance.

Fox really wanted to be there, and he's a much better positional- plus timeline-fit

AttilaTheHun's avatar

Plus AD is Glass Man.

cpt nemo's avatar

There is a sharks game tonight FYI

Captain Jack's avatar

Personally I'd love to see Fox in Detroit so a 3 team trade involving the Pistons, Spurs and Mavericks would be fun.

Loon Gehrig's avatar

Detroit:"We have Fox at home" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_Theatre_(Detroit)

Fox would definitely take some of the scoring pressure off of Cade

Captain Jack's avatar

Bailout 3 Jimmy might be almost on the same level as Steph as a shooter. Never seen him #miss

belilaugh's avatar

I hope Kuminga sits out Friday's game and rests up for the Pelican game as I assume the Warriors will probably sit Curry/Butler/Green for that one and will need Kuminga to score for them and also I think it would be smart to give GP2 another shot at the Spurs given how effective he looked yesterday.

Captain Jack's avatar

Can we afford to sit all 3 of them on Sunday? Dray and one of the two will have to stagger their resting schedule. I don't believe these baby Dubs are anywhere ready to try to win an NBA game without at least one of those 3.

belilaugh's avatar

I listened to the interview cpt nemo referenced below and it sounds like they are targeting the back to back for resting guys so it's probably a moot point by me.

That said, I do think the baby Dubs could win that game, they nearly won the King game and the Kings are probably more talented than the Zion-less Pelicans.

cpt nemo's avatar

Steve Kerr was interviewed on 957 the game - his weekly interview with Willard and Dibs - mentioned JK might not be ready by tomorrow with his knee soreness.

RUMOR: Nike is attempting to finish the job upon hearing the news of Stephen Curry parting ways with Under Armour. Both parties have agreed to a meeting scheduled for Friday, with Hico Narrison named as the one in charge of the presentation.

stopnpop's avatar

Don't worry about "KD" being in the slides this time. "AD", however....

AttilaTheHun's avatar

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/46958115/warriors-stephen-curry-ending-partnership-armour

Lots of other links about this are available if you do a search. But I did not see a mention of a possible return to Nike, just the separation from Under Armour.

stopnpop's avatar

SoL was wondering about the Nico Harrison part... which I think is just a joke by Captain Jack.

Sabiscrashingout.'s avatar

Nico is "unemployed" according to his Instagram.

https://www.instagram.com/nicoharrison_24/

AttilaTheHun's avatar

Luka and his fiancé have a baby daughter so they probably have a lot of dirty diapers and such. Maybe Nico could get a job washing their laundry.

Parliamentary governance? What are you, Canadian?

Richard F.'s avatar

Great E1P, but. Certain points need clarification, Sir.

There is no Rodin named after throwing a pass into a lurking Curry. I consulted Le Catalogue International des Sculptures de Rodin certifié Par le Peuple et la Nation Français (1994 Edition), and zip, nothing.

That Pat Spencer/Magnum PI cracks me up every time. Saluté!

Sabiscrashingout.'s avatar

UA sucks anyway. Bring on Curry Brand.

r/nba

25m ago

[Charania] Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and Under Armour have parted ways, ending their longstanding partnership. Curry's standalone endeavor Curry Brand will move forward independently.

Curry's shoes through Under Armour will continue as planned through 2026, but he and his company Curry Brand are entering sneaker free agency.

stopnpop's avatar

Haha, comments on reddit thread:

> Wow no fucking way, is this why he got all those free throws last night?

ServantOfLuna's avatar

I don't blame Curry. Under Armour dropped the ball multiple times to promote Steph whenever he won a championship, especially during 2022 when he did the famous "night night" celebration.

Fun fact: there was a point where UA had Curry, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Bryce Harper, Buster Posey, and other famous players on their roster.

Bel's avatar

UA also didn’t capitalize on his golden performance at the Olympics.

Abaddon's avatar

Woah. This is actually rather huge news.

stopnpop's avatar

Perfect timing for Nike to rehire Nico to do the pitch again.

Loon Gehrig recently mentioned that Peacock+ has an NBCSBA add-on and combined, those are far cheaper than Youtube TV. As someone paying A LOT for YTV, I am intrigued by this. Does anyone know if there is any greater risk of blackouts with that situation? Nothing was ever blacked out for me on YTV.

Time's avatar

I tried this last season but to my surprise discovered that Peacock lacked DVR functionality. I absolutely need this, so back to Youtube TV I went. Sadly.

Kelly Wheaton's avatar

We signed up for Peacock with the add on NBC Sports Bay Area. So far so good the last 2 games. Less than $30 a month vs $48 to add to Xfinity. A little wonky if casting. So we registered through our smart tv.

rcknfn_needs_3moears's avatar

Nice. I think Peacock doesn't have DVR but you can download select programs for offline viewing. Are you able to download Warriors game after the fact?

Kelly Wheaton's avatar

I don't DVR, so don't know.

Kelly Wheaton's avatar

You are welcome. We share with our grandson. 😉
