Explain One Play: Stephen Curry logo 3s beat the Clippers in a wild ending
Appreciate him while we can
A list of all Explain One Play articles and videos is at The new Explain One Play index.
The Warriors really pulled out a game they had no business winning. I mean, Steph did go nutso, but with twenty turnovers…? But you know what? It still counts as a win. Lots of hustle, they never gave up to pull out the win against the Clippers, 2021.10.21.LAC-GSW.
The main course of course is Stephen Curry’s two logo distance threes that got the Warriors the lead. Co-starring: Andrew Wiggins’s tough man-to-man defense, Draymond’s clutch scoring, and Damion Lee’s calm passing.
(Note to my newer viewers: I usually don't post game analysis this soon after a game, and in fact, I often won't do a video when the Warriors lose because I need to go stare at the sky and sigh. But sometimes, the win is so fun and interesting, I'll pop one out fast. That’s just to help adjust your expectations. )

Warriors troll Klay about not being on the NBA Top 76 list… by putting a Klay jersey in his locker with the number 77.

My live reaction to the end of this game was definitely similar, like... "yikes, they're really denying Steph the ball, oh phew he finally got it, but with only—pbbbffffttttt!! friggin' Steph."
I think my ability to analyze plays as they happen has maybe improved as I caught more of the stuff in this video the first time around. So, thanks, Apricot-sensei! But I still have much to learn, especially in the ways of catching the enigmatic Klay "first down" celebration.
