Looking ahead at the December schedule, and it’s a doozy. We start with our second game against Phoenix on 12/3 kicking off a short four game home stand. We go on the road the next five games and have back to back road back to backs, finishing in Toronto. We come back to a mix of home and away games with our second game @PHX headlining on Christmas on ABC - and the network execs must be salivating at that matchup. All told it’s 14 games in 28 days.
Eh... he still refuses to acknowledge the blinding obvious fact that when the Warriors shortened their rotation (due to injury) to end the season they went on an absolute tear and were beating some of the best teams in the league. He continues to do full-year comparisons including what was very much a new team and a very rusty Curry at the beginning of the year. Anyone who was paying attention (e.g. Kevin O'Connor at The Ringer) could see the potential for this roster this year, even if the magnitude of the current improvement was not something anyone projected.
He does a bit of gushing about how good they look this year. But the closest he comes to humble pie is:
"Somebody even questioned whether they’d make the playoffs, and if I find that guy, boy am I gonna laugh in his face. (PS: Nice prediction, Einstein.)"
Classic E1P! So many great moments, but I especially loved the series of freeze frames as Steph walks away from the ref.
I am really crushing out on how this team doesn’t take their foot off the gas. I keep waiting for the let downs we all know and “love” but this year is different.
Great opportunity for a new start on the best team in the league for the Min or MLE. Maybe even rebuild his value after a title. Not to hard to do considering it is prolly on par with wall but without the huge contract. Who you cutting for Kemba?
Nope. Awful from the beginning. Article says any combination of players without him on the floor is way better. Looks like our old friend Alec Burks will be taking his place in the starting unit.
And I know he fell outta the league, but I'd also be super down for a return of Burks'former teammate Glenn Robinson III. Would be cool to have him next to Mitten
That was great! lol @ Coach Cooper, who was coaching the opposing team in the scrimmage, "He [Klay] made 4 or 5 shots right away and we called a timeout. [...] We didn't think we needed a scouting report, but that #11 can really shoot."
I finally saw the whole sequence from that angle this afternoon. Laughed so hard. GPII needs to hit the weight room more just to survive the Dub celebrations.
OK - it was apparently from a fan's camera. This video is from higher in the stands than the one I saw earlier - but it can be seen. Steph just levels GPII.
If you're going up for a chest bump, you gotta be ready. GP2 was NOT ready. There's a wider angle where it's clear that GP2 didn't just land hard on the floor and actually caught himself a bit. But still... you gotta go up strong for a chest bump. Meet force with force.
Warriors defenders were like a school of piranha whenever a Clipper tried to come across the middle or was underneath the basket, I love the intense physicality shown but do hope Kerr finds a way of reducing Dray$s minutes going forward, he was taking a real pounding down low, that would mean more emphasis on JTA and leaving him off the floor for Iguodala minutes, JTA can only benefit come the playoffs with more responsibility now
Oh wow. Beautiful E1P. Love to see Steph play from every angle.

We’ve got the two biggest games of the season coming up and you’re “looking ahead”?!
I need you to stay focused on the task at hand. You are indeed a bad dan.
Five laps around the gym, mister!
We know he’s a bad Don. We don’t have enough information to determine whether he’s a bad Dan. Maybe we could ask Hardee? :-)
I resisted the urge to look ahead last evening. I check out what games are in the week just so I know what nights I'll be up late.
How The Warriors Are Wrecking The Rest Of The NBA — And Our Forecast Model: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-the-warriors-are-wrecking-the-rest-of-the-nba-and-our-forecast-model/amp/
seems like a big part of it is "Steph somehow is playing even better than last year" (almost double the impact per their metric!)
Glad to see them address it.
Hollinger eats a big helping of crow. I’ll post a snippet or two tomorrow. Sub to the athletic. It’s cheap.

He eats it with humbleness though. Accepts that he made a mistake.
Can you share just a snippet of the humble pie? I don’t subscribe but recall people sharing some pretty snotty dismissive Warriors comments.

Wow, look at those stats for the Clippers vs. Pelicans game:
Ingram: 27 points, 12/18 FGs, 1/2 threes, 2/4 FTs
7 rebounds (1 off.), 4 assists, 1 turnover
Valanciunas: 39 points, 15/24 FGs, 7/8 threes, 2/2 FTs
15 rebounds (7 off.), 3 assists, 1 turnover, 2 steals
George: 27 points, 10/20 FGs, 3/10 threes, 4/4 FTs
3 rebounds, 3 assists, 7 turnovers, 1 steal
And the Pels even let Reggie Jackson score almost 20 pts.
PG really needs to stop turning the ball over so much.
Clippers: We lost to the Warriors, but don't worry. Pelicans are an easy opponent, and we'll beat 'em easily!
Ingram and Valaciunas: Are you sure about that?
OT No more Kemba for Knicks. Should have done it sooner, but...

He’s not 2 way eligible, so….
Aww he was doing ok early in the year too, wasnt he? Once the knees go, its tough

Love me some Burks.
And I know he fell outta the league, but I'd also be super down for a return of Burks'former teammate Glenn Robinson III. Would be cool to have him next to Mitten
OT Pelicans up 29 > 14 over the Clippers w/3:28 to go in the 1st period.
JV putting up threes like he's Steph lol
Just seeing that. 7-7 and the 2nd qtr isn't over.
They had to switch PG onto him to cool him off haha
Ouch, the Clips Nation article I read talking about how the Pels would be a great bounce back opportunity not looking great right now…
Klay @ the Sea Dubs

Warriors provide Suns elite test in matchup of NBA’s 2 best teams:

Nice, we’ll researched article from another market’s perspective. Thanks!
Another angle of Steph leveling GPII after the 'T" is shown in this segment.
https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/video/steph-currys-bringing-his-competitive-edge-nba-season
You the real MVP
That’s the one, thanks! I’m gonna have to gif that…
The first fan video that I saw [which I can't find now] showed it even better from further down the court on the opposite side.
Watching E1Ps always bring me pure joy, but with this one I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed so hard…so much gratitude for you, EA!
Lovely E1P. Only thing missing: https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/steph-curry-sends-gary-payton-ii-flying-chest-bump-after-3-point-barrage. I saw a better angle somewhere and Steph absolutely wiped GP2 out with the chest bump, he was so fired up.
Haha I saw Steph chest bump someone into nothingness on CSN but couldn’t figure out who… I thought I imagined that
I finally saw the whole sequence from that angle this afternoon. Laughed so hard. GPII needs to hit the weight room more just to survive the Dub celebrations.
link? I couldn't see it at all in the videos at the nbscports link.
OK - it was apparently from a fan's camera. This video is from higher in the stands than the one I saw earlier - but it can be seen. Steph just levels GPII.

Lmao. See the running start Steph got?
I can't find it now. Sorry. I'll keep looking.
Me neither, linkages appreciated!
See above.
Thanks dilly!

Dray is only playing 30 min per game, how low do you want him to go?
So you are saying that OGJTA was Warriors Wonder #1? Suck it OPJ (and Steph)
