Sure, but that's not the question, the question is who would be the backup PG in that scenario. Do you disagree it would be GP2? If so, who do you think it would be?
Spencer is the starting PG in that scenario so for backup I think GP2 is best suited given his previous PG experience, however I am in full agreement that no one in that scenario is particularly well suited for it.
If GP2 runs point, then if I'm the other team's HC, I just go full court press and trap him as much as possible. I wouldn't bet on GP2 dribbling through pressure (how often does he take more than three dribbles in a row?) or making the right read.
Richard, despite his lack of experience, seems much more suited to the role, IMHO.
Does that first paragraph not apply to Richard just as much if not more? I genuinely don't know if he's played PG, I know GP2 has at the NBA level though. Remember Moody and Kuminga's rookie Summer League? GP2 was the point guard that summer for them before Kerr came up with a clever, superior way to use him.
