Draft lottery in less than a month (June 22). How much will you die if it starts off with, "the #14 pick goes to ... the Indiana Pacers"?

Every post season is diferent. This team better constructed and with some aditions could have made at least west finals.

And with another mindset at the start of the season, when we do not chase wins.

Jazz nuggets injured. Lakers with no rythm. Clipps choked. Dallas and Portland are very beateable.

And for next year they have to land a playmaker to take the burden out of steph.

What's crazy is if we had beat the lakers with how the Grizz are playing, there's a good chance Lakers would have been bounced from playoffs. Yes the refs would have def helped the Lakers but they helped us too and we still lost

Folks, there’s been a little drift towards personal sniping in the comments. I know emotions are raw from the sour season’s end, but let’s keep the talk about basketball and not about attacking specific people. I’m including side shots like “never be a GM” and other put downs of basketball opinions.

If you want to be in the community, then disagree with others without insulting them.

We haven’t had to do any moderating in months, and I’d like to keep it that way.

Thank you.

I'm not on board with all the pundits saying to unload Wiseman. I don't think we'd get proportional value in return right now. Wiseman's only played 39 games. He was already noticeably better his last few games. Remember what Jordan Poole looked like after 39 games?

even if mitchell comes back in time he won’t be effective enough and the jazz simply doesn’t have enough firepower to last in the playoffs without him. now they only have shooters but no one to create for them. i think the grizz has a good chance to make a cinderella run here especially if their bench guys like bane/melton starts gaining that playoff confidence

Grizzlies manage to hang on and beat the Jazz. They took advantage of Jazz's poor three-point shooting night (12/47 threes for the Jazz) and the Jazz while Gobert and Conley were sitting out due to foul troubles.

Not to quibble, but Spotrac is the actual name, not Sportrac.

Thanks for the informative analysis you put together. The FO will be busy trying to decide what they are going to do for next season. I expect some changes and am looking forward to how they will handle the Jessup situation. Also, will they bring back Baze, Mulder, & DLee? They may be the toughest decisions they have to make. We'll also have possibly two new draft selections to sign and are they really going to keep Smailagic? With Wesson in the Gleague, playing like a real stretch 5, why waste the money on Smiley? Strap 'em on, Warriors!

Now watch Ja Morant never take or make a three for the rest of the playoffs. Sigh.

Mitchell out for Game 1. I think the Warriors could have beaten them even with him playing but that's yet another blow for the "you shouldn't try to compete during Steph Curry's prime unless you are the championship favorite" contingent.

I see people talking about the Warriors needing to draft guys who are ready to play now but with the #14 pick I don't really buy that. The organizational investment isn't the same for that player as it is for a #2 pick, the person they draft 14th can be on the bench, be assigned to the G-League, etc.

It's very unclear to me who would be available at #14 right now but I'm just saying that if they took a "project" like Giddey #14, I don't think there is some huge expectation to play him right away or anything. Aaron Nesmith was the #14 pick in the last draft and he was a bench player who averaged 14 minutes a game and probably would have gotten fewer if the Celtic bench wasn't so shallow.

That said I'd still lean toward trading the pick. But if they keep it, I really hope they don't draft one of these 22 year old projected role players for the sake of "NBA readiness".

Bazemore is going to be hard to re-sign without using the tax mle. Is he gone? Baze looked like a keep Steph happy signing, and it looks to have worked out really well. Steph wasn’t having fun playing with the youngsters out there early on. Curious to see which way the FO leans this off season.

Can Looney sign an extension?
