A poll here to predict if Draymond will play against the blazers on Feb 28th (5 games from today) and give them some s*** as payback for GP2.
He is going to be suspended with his next technical - heres the text "Nowadays, players are automatically suspended once they reach sixteen technical fouls in a single season. Players then receive another automatic suspension with each passing two technical fouls they are called for (e.g. technical fouls No. 18, No. 20, etc.) subsequently."
He is currently getting a tech about every 4 games (15/57 = 0.26). so his next tech will likely be in the next 4 games ( game # 4 from today is against the timberwolves). But game #5 is against the trailblazers.
So what do the DNHQ readers think? Is he going to be our enforcer and plan his next T so he plays against the blazers or will he be sitting that one out due to a T?
I don’t see why Dray or we would have any bad feelings towards the POR players who have to play under crap management and endure sketchy medical staff.
On Bogut's podcast (I've read), he confirms the Dubs asked him to talk to Patty Mills about signing with us last year. But Patty signed with the Nets b/c he thought he had a better chance of a ring there.
I remember that. I also remember many grading the Nets and Lakers high on the free agents they picked up last year, while slighting the Dubs for adding two more rookies, GP2, Otto and Beli. In the end the Lakers got names, but were too old; Harden demanded a trade and the Nets were swept in round one and the Dubs won it all.
Game tonight is at TNT. Oh boy, on a back to back and without Wiggins (what about Klay???), this is going to be TOUGH. Hope we have the same fight we had last night so as to make it somewhat competitive. Otherwise, we will be burned.
I no longer feel irrationally good about this game. Honestly, Wiggins defense would be huge for this game... buuuuut, I feel like Kawhi & PG are players that Klay CAN defend, so we might be ok. Need "good JK" tonight, for sure. He hasn't got too much run the last two games, so he should be fresh enough.
We need both. He's not going to stay in front of Bones Hyland very well... but I think he can stay in front of Kawhi & PG, who are their primary initiators.
If he can do that while making tough shots, we got a chance. It's a big ask, but it's a good fit for his defensive capabilities right now, where he's better against bigger/stronger wings than smaller/faster ones.
This Moses Moody has been too close to offensive players, and too jumpy trying to "stay in front", instead of keeping a comfortable distance and funneling them toward help... and he's been stuck in the corner and not knowing what 0.5s decisions are available to him. If it's clicked for him, it's a huge development for his viability.
OT watching some guys in the super bowl ram into other players reminded me of the hit Curry took to his leg. The guy (forgot who) looked like a fb player when he rammed into Steph to get by.
Wiggs looked like the real Wiggs last nite - even on a sore ankle. So glad to see him contribute and for the Dubs to get him the ball in spots where he can get his shots off. More of this, please!

It's been looking like a "two steps forward, one step back" thing... really hope he gets in some good R&R & ramp up over the ASB. We REALLY need him regularly in top form to close the season, or we're cooked.
In related news, his 3pt shooting looks like it's getting back in gear:
12/32 (37.5%) in the 8 games since he came back from most recent sickness
Stats are interesting, notably the defensive "all in one" stats give him a lot of credit, and he's got a career 2:1 AST/TO ratio, and decent 3P? & FT%...
That was my assumption, but the all in one stats like him defensively for some reason... maybe he's learned how to be a "turnstile toward the help defense and then rotating effectively" guy? I don't watch non-Warriors games and don't have the chops to pay close attention to defensive execution, so I don't really know...
I've put up a simple game thread at https://dubnationhq.com/p/game-thread-weary-warriors-wander?sd=pf
Please move the party / group therapy over there, and please pick up litter and recycling
Celtics — without Tatum, Brown, Horford, and Smart, and starting new signee Mike Muscala — up 88-76 on the full-strength Bucks in Milwaukee.
Anything can happen.
Also: WTF, Milwaukee?
Warriors by 7 cause no one is expecting them to win
Will there be a game thread tonight?
This is going to be the GT. And Eric asked Steve to throw the game so he can rest up his E1P muscles
NEVER! I never believe in tanking and I’ll have a break coming up, so bring it on Hospital Warriors
Anthony Slater
@anthonyVslater
"Warriors starters tonight at Clippers
Jordan Poole
Donte DiVincenzo
Klay Thompson
Draymond Green
Kevon Looney"
Joey Linn
@joeylinn_
"Clippers starters vs. Golden State:
Terance Mann
Paul George
Kawhi Leonard
Marcus Morris
Ivica Zubac"
Klay's going to go for 25 shots, approximately 6 of which he'll make.
Dray's about 50-50 to get his 16th tech, but he'll be 1-2-3 Cancun by halftime, regardless (not that I can blame him).

Plus Draymond is close with Lillard. I'd guess is friends with Grant too since they were both on the Olympic team.
Two starting lineups, zero point guards…
Optional position in today's NBA. For better or worse.
On Bogut's podcast (I've read), he confirms the Dubs asked him to talk to Patty Mills about signing with us last year. But Patty signed with the Nets b/c he thought he had a better chance of a ring there.

LMAO
How's that working out for him? /s
Not so well and he doesn't appear to be getting off the bench lately.
Pretty nice for the team that we get both tomorrow and Thursday off before the ASB. Nine straight days off.
Also nice that none of the Warriors are participating in All Star events.
Gui is!
yeah. Even Kerr gets a break (which I think he can use)
Wow, I forgot about that.
Game tonight is at TNT. Oh boy, on a back to back and without Wiggins (what about Klay???), this is going to be TOUGH. Hope we have the same fight we had last night so as to make it somewhat competitive. Otherwise, we will be burned.
Klay is available to play.
Dr. Seuss couldn’t have said it better
The ball will stay with me all day
And, if I can find a way
I will never pass to Dray
I'm tightly covered, shot's away
No Brown, no Tatum, and no Smart for the Celtics against the Bucks. Horford and Williams III are questionable.
With Steph out for the ASG, Gui Santos is the Warriors only player participating in next week's festivities.
Mac McClung just signed a two-way with the Sixers. The party is at dinohealth's place.
It's only a matter of time before he's league MVP. He just needed a chance.
He's also Dray's pick for the dunk contest
Ugh and I just found out Karl Malone is going to be a judge?! Why?

Welp. Wiggins out tonight due to personal reasons.
.500 at the break it is...
In that case he should have scored five more points last night to get to 34 so he could have two games' worth of Wiggs scoring in one game.
#SAD!
I no longer feel irrationally good about this game. Honestly, Wiggins defense would be huge for this game... buuuuut, I feel like Kawhi & PG are players that Klay CAN defend, so we might be ok. Good JK IS IMPORTANT. He’s made lots of rookie mistakes in the last couple of games.
We need both. He's not going to stay in front of Bones Hyland very well... but I think he can stay in front of Kawhi & PG, who are their primary initiators.
If he can do that while making tough shots, we got a chance. It's a big ask, but it's a good fit for his defensive capabilities right now, where he's better against bigger/stronger wings than smaller/faster ones.
sigh
Ughhhhhhhh
Where has this Moses Moody been all season?
Developing?
This Moses Moody has been too close to offensive players, and too jumpy trying to "stay in front", instead of keeping a comfortable distance and funneling them toward help... and he's been stuck in the corner and not knowing what 0.5s decisions are available to him. If it's clicked for him, it's a huge development for his viability.
And his visibility on the court.
OT watching some guys in the super bowl ram into other players reminded me of the hit Curry took to his leg. The guy (forgot who) looked like a fb player when he rammed into Steph to get by.
DFS i think

10/24 (41.6%) in his last 6 games
7/15 (46.7%) in his last 3 games
The improving 3-point shooting will help. Once he's got that going, he'll drive with impunity. Hopefully, his defense is coming around as well.
Definitely one step back tonight with news that he's out for personal reasons.
I count it as a pause...

Frank Kaminsky maybe getting bought out, maybe not getting bought out.
Stats are interesting, notably the defensive "all in one" stats give him a lot of credit, and he's got a career 2:1 AST/TO ratio, and decent 3P? & FT%...
But generally a turnstile on D. Which is why he can't stick with a team and/or get off the bench.
That was my assumption, but the all in one stats like him defensively for some reason... maybe he's learned how to be a "turnstile toward the help defense and then rotating effectively" guy?
