Dear faithful readers, I’m writing to warn you that we are doing some behind the scenes technical work that might disrupt access to the site for a day or two. No need to panic.
If all goes well, you will never notice a thing.
If all goes badly, the letsgowarriors.com URL will act funny for a while. You will still get the emails, and you can reach the site itself (which should be alive and healthy) by clicking on the headline of the email.
Did he follow up with: unfortunately when you’ve got 4 max or near max players the only way to fill out the roster with talent is to utilize the draft? Did he weigh in on how the Lakers and Clippers were doing filling in the their rosters around 2 All-stars with vets? Bottom line: you can’t compete unless your highly paid players are healthy and performing.
Thank you. No kidding. Between this comment and his Bob Fitz (who i dont like) togue lashing on us acquiring Iggy on vet min, seems to me Draymond hasnt a clue nor does he care of the salary cap restrictions.
If you accept the person who is being signed, you are hard capped and cannot go above the hard cap. The Dubs can't get to that salary level. As far as I know, there is no limit to the players that can be swapped for the signed asset, so it does not have to be 1 to 1.
Since we'll be filling his salary into Wiggins' TPE slot, generated orginally from KD, yes, i believe it can only be a 1 to 1 swap. could be wrong tho.
The West is simply not scary this year. The two teams with the most talent are facing 1st round elimination. Why tf did Ja, Jonas, Grayson, and Tillman have to hit 9 threes against us? This pretty crappy Warriors team could have made the WCF or Finals.
Honestly my two title favorites might be facing off in the Eastern semi's.
There was waaaaaaay too much Boban/Porzingis 4/5 lineups to win a game like this. The Clippers are just headcases. By talent, they should be in the Finals.
And they still pulled it out. Luka's really fricking good. Living in Sacramento, it makes me sad they didn't take him. It was so obvious at the time too.
Yeah, thought so. It must have been a disappointing season for Okongwu. Injury, then not used very much. I liked him, too, and still wonder how his game will translate to the NBA. He was known for his relentless rebounding and energy. Something we could have used this season. But, I wish him well in his career. Atlanta looks poised to make noise.
They did run out of gas, but they also have a bunch of incomplete players.
Ja is still a liability in that you can just ignore him outside the paint.
Jaren Jackson Jr. has a lot of things he's almost good enough at, like 3 point shooting, rim protection, and post ups, but not really reliable for anything.
Interesting… I’m compiling every mock draft selection for GSW for our annual Draft Pick Tournament. Davion will be the 14th unique choice I’ve seen. Hard to imagine GSW going for a small guard with a questionable shot even though he was damn entertaining in the Final Four
Yes, but 98% of the time we’ll have a pick around #14, so I’m prepping for that. In the blessed case where we have a Top 8 (or TOP 3??) pick, that’s a different class of pick.
45% from 3 on 4.7 attempts senior year but shot poorly all other years and is sub 70% on FTs, yea idk but dude is a dog and I wouldn't bet against him shooting decently in the pros
here's a real interesting (or tediously boring, depending on who you are) look from one of our Substack buddies.
He re-watched, and manually tabulated step-back threes and found that the league really under-reports misses.
As someone who uses the detailed Synergy play data a fair amount, this is about what I expected, but it's a bigger discrepancy than I'd like to see, obviously.
Knicks. Hate Dolan, and suspect players hate him too. So rooting for the team that overcomes his ineptitude and does well anyway. Plus I grew up watching the Pistons so kinda a sucker for the “drag you into the mud” style. (Although, of course, prefer the “beautiful game” style of the Ws)

I’ll explain more in a few days….
IT'S HAPPENING!!!!
I'm excited for this!
Draymond on Inside The NBA: "Getting draft picks and placing them next to two All-Stars. That don't work."
Was discussing the Wizards here, but I have a hard time believing it wasn't a message to Bob and the FO.
I'd rather have draft lottery talent rookies than I would vets like Wanamker or Casspi.
Good for him
Draymond wasn’t an all star but he plays like one. That gives us three all-stars....
Draymond “wasn’t an all star” ... except for the three times he was?
Short hand for last year (last two years) obviously. I’m making the point he played at an all star level this year, despite not being an all star.
Did he follow up with: unfortunately when you’ve got 4 max or near max players the only way to fill out the roster with talent is to utilize the draft? Is it possible for us to get kawhi in a sign and trade?
Not in a sign and trade, but theoretically he could opt in and ask for a trade to GSW. But as ender said, highly unlikely.
What's the rule on a sign and trade it has to be a 1v1 swap or something?

Possible, highly unlikely.

With d lee back I don't think any of these teams are touching us, the mavs literally ran iso the whole fourth quarter were shutting that down easily
If this Luka dude ever gets a legit 2nd star he's going to win a few rings
Can't believe he's doing this with freaking Porzingus as his Robin. Talk about getting no help
There was waaaaaaay too much Boban/Porzingis 4/5 lineups to win a game like this. The Clippers are just headcases. By talent, they should be in the Finals.
4 best three point shooting team in history only scores 100 on a team running KP and boban they are idiots lol
Ty Lue lolz
If the word clueless was a person
The mavs offense is ugly af, I though Carlisle was a good coach? Luka iso'd everytime the whole fourth with absolutely no ball or player movement
It works though. They put up a historic offensive rating last year (was the best of all time IIRC), and were 9th this year.
And they still pulled it out. Luka's really fricking good. Living in Sacramento, it makes me sad they didn't take him. It was so obvious at the time too.
Man... D Rose and Poole would be nice coming off the bench together
You mean D Rose the Assaulter?
Apricot, please clarify what you wrote about Okongwu under Atlanta/Petty Rivalries saying that Okongwu fell to NYK. Is this a typo?
Yes, just a typo. He’s in the ATL section…
Bye bye Memphis. They ran out of gas.
They don't defend well as a unit.
In two years they might be really good.
Nice first quarter for the Jazz. 47 points, 68% from the field, 60% (9-15) from 3, and only one turnover.
New Ringer draft guide out, with its usual cool graphics and questionable judgments by Kevin O’Connor... https://nbadraft.theringer.com/mock-draft
His Warriors pix: Davion Mitchell at #6, Ziaire Williams at #14.
Interesting… I’m compiling every mock draft selection for GSW for our annual Draft Pick Tournament. Davion will be the 14th unique choice I’ve seen. Hard to imagine GSW going for a small guard with a questionable shot even though he was damn entertaining in the Final Four
Shouldn’t this wait until after the ping pong balls land so we know what we have/don’t have? At this point it’s pretty random
Yes, but 98% of the time we’ll have a pick around #14, so I’m prepping for that. In the blessed case where we have a Top 8 (or TOP 3??) pick, that’s a different class of pick.
*97.6%! :-)

I would take moses moody over Williams tho he'd be perfect here
Moses Moody looks perfect on paper, but I see concerns that he flamed out in the NCAA Tournament
Getting Moses and Mitchell in the draft would be amazing I think both could be slightly beneficial to us year 1
Dude is a monster
Like a mix of Marcus smart and Collin sexton
Two teams pretty weaker than Bucks Sixers and Nets. I pick Atlanta because of Danilo Gallinari

Anyways, check him out on the F5:

And after you factor in the discrepancies ... Steph Curry is still the greatest shooter of all time.
At this point, AD is injured so frequently that he might as well change his name to Anthony Day-to-Dayvis.
Nice 😎
It's weird seeing Steph tweet about another players playoff performance. He's usually still playing at this time of the year.
