So, where is everyone at? Dubs finished with the 3 seed in the West but that topped every team in the East last year and we had home court in the Finals. I think that only really mattered after we won Game 4 and, to Boston's surprise, we had them by the round things. I think most people are of the opinion that the Dubs are going to time manage out of the gate, rest the stars, get minutes for the young-uns. But remember what they did last year? They stormed out of the gate with a vengeance. The truth is, getting rest in October doesn't help you in May. The core will always get their rest when it is needed. And that definitely includes additional down time prior to the post season.
All I am saying, or typing, is that I wouldn't be surprised if the Dubs come out of the gate swinging. They are the squirrels of the NBA. Pack those wins away early for the winter. We have continuity. Other teams are dealing with wholesale changes to their rosters, or simply resigned to the fact that no matter what they do, they will be a .500 team. So swing first. Start the season with Winning as the priority. Get ahead of the pack, and come February, begin serious time management and push the rooks.

Miracle in Berlin: Italy beat Serbia. We MUST consider Nick Melli for the 15th roster spot: he ERASED Jokic (!!!) and scored 22 pts. He’s 31, and I don’t know his contract status , but you ought to see his block on the MVP.
Did anyone mention that the Lakers have signed Dennis Schoeder? Seems like a really good pickup for them. Can only hope the chemistry blows them up.
