This whole "Kevin Durant wants to be traded to another team" drama is making me lose respect towards Durant. The Nets did everything to make him happy, but his team fell apart in the 2nd half of the season and got swept against the Celtics in the 1st round of the playoffs. And now he wants to be traded to a better team, preferably a team that went #1 in their respective conference last season (Suns and Heat). It feels like he wants to win the easy way.

Were the two rings and the two Finals MVPs during his stint with the Warriors not enough for him? Does he not know about what it takes to win a championship and how it requires more than just a bunch of talented players? It seems to me that Durant's got a lot of soul-searching to do.

I like Durant, but I don't want him around. He's a super-talented, super-troubled soul who will never be happy anywhere. He may contribute to a W but not to a team W, which is the ultimate Warriors bliss. I think it very unlikely that the Warriors may acquire him, but I check periodically just to make sure it hasn't happened. When can I stop worrying?

Lest we forget our WNBA colleagues:

WNBA star Brittney Griner wrote a letter directly to the White House and President Joe Biden appealing for help in obtaining her freedom from Russia.

"I realize you are dealing with so much, but please don't forget about me and the other American Detainees," one excerpt stated. "Please do all that you can to bring us home.”

Griner stated in her letter that she felt "terrified I might be here forever." The Phoenix Mercury center explained the personal importance of the Fourth of July to her and her family because her father is a Vietnam War veteran…..”

The 31-year-old has been detained in Russia since February 17 and her incarceration has been extended to December.

Just out of curiosity, you think no one else in the NBA offered Looney a contract equal to or better than what he got from GSW? Did he stay, for possibly below his market value, because he had no other options, or because he is a loyal member of the team? Or…..

Weatherspoon will play Tuesday, had to increase his conditioning after some travel. I would guess Moody was in a similar boat in terms of not being in his best condition, and I would also guess Kuminga might have been in that boat if he played in these Congo games although it probably wouldn't have mattered given the competition level.

If I am the Nets, I telling Kyrie, KD & Simmons that they are all under contract to play and are all expected to play this year. If a trade for anyone actually materializes during the year, the front office will text the traded player and gladly call them a cab. But seriously, the problem we have here is KD asking to be traded and catching the entire league off guard. It takes time, years sometimes, to maneuver your roster into a position that would allow you to trade for someone like KD. "Ok, so now you want to go on the camping trip after all the seats have been taken?" It's hard to get me to respect Harden, but his stock is going up in my book. I'll take the honest & blatant fat suit "I'm out," over the self-centered cryptic tweets about blaming everyone else for your decision.

LBJ made a lot of enemies with his Decision. But the guy returned to Cleveland and got a ring and it made for a good redemption story. Say what you want to say about LAL, they won a title. That's 3 titles, 3 teams. KD ain't getting any younger and his career could turn into one of the NBA's biggest "What could have beens?" depending on where he ends up.

Good luck KD. You gave us your Achilles tendon, and I will always respect you for that. But please, please, please, don't deprive us NBA fans of a full Nets season with KD, Kyrie and Ben Simmons. Please, don't take away this potential high speed train wreck.

First half explains methodology and is interesting if dry, second half has the meaty stuff.

Assuming at this point the 15 spot will be left open... We still need 2 more guys if Iguodala retires, right? Seem to be running out of names. What about Montrez? He seems like a guy who would really enjoy winning a championship. Though he was arrested with 3 lbs of MJ recently in KY, not sure how significant the legal troubles may be.

Has everyone considered what the next 4 year's of sports media would be like if Durant returned? I mean really considered it? We all love basketball. We all consume our fair share of content. If Durant joins the Warriors again, just imagine yourself strapped to a chair with your eyes taped open, ala Roddy McDowell in A Clockwork Orange, and being forced to watch 50 Shades of Gray over and over again for the next 4 years.

I'll pass.

For what it is worth (probably nothing), the Warrior FO and Lacob were close to the action watching the first game yesterday and around the time Roby got cut by the Thunder they all left the court and went to the back for awhile.

I would guess it was a coincidence though lol.

Does anyone know why Weatherspoon didn't play in the Classic? Is he hurt or something?

Draymond said in his co-podcast with JJ Redick that the Warriors were going to win "Three out of the next four championships." I think we all have the same question ...

I wonder who we'll bring in at the wing spot because looking at that remaining FA list, outside of Warren everybody is very "no thank you" to me. Would rather have our guy JTA honestly
