Spurs are celebrating their 50th anniversary at the Alamodome on Jan 13 when they will play the Warriors. Oh boy, they are going to have an extra incentive to beat the crap out of us. That’ll be our first road game this year. I hope we don’t get embarrassed in front of a HUGE crowd on national TV. We get Steph back and Wiggins going on his third game, so maybe we win a road game?
Incidentally, the first-ever NBA game played in the Alamodome was between the Spurs and the Warriors on Nov. 5, 1993.
'Tis not the Season to be Jolly about Winning on the Road....No, I am not talking about the Dubs, only. In the ENTIRE NBA, that's 30 teams, only 4 TEAMS HAVE WINNING ROAD RECORDS, and, ALL 4 are in the EAST. Not a single team in the WEST has a winning ROAD record midway through this SEASON...talk about PARITY.... I love this edit feature in here....lol
I watched Kerr’s post practice press conference. Good news: Klay is fine, should play tomorrow. Andre feels good. Steph scrimmaged with the team today, but Kerr didn’t say whether Curry would play tomorrow.
Bad news: JK, Wise and JMG didn’t participate in the practice. And nobody asked about their injuries, recovery, or timeline. Grrr, I wanted that info!
The longest 11 game stretch ever. We went 6-5 without him but I think we have enough data here. Now let's get JK and JMG back so we can find some rest games for Draymond here and there.
''Miracles and Dubs'', methinks, Eric....we have no duds in here....lol....I am laughing a lot these days, as, thanks to that miraculous little 5-game winning streak, we have managed to improbably survive and be where we need to be with our top guns about to return. Sure would be great though, to add one more win vs phoenix...

I want to share a Warriors-adjacent tale with everyone.
My girlfriend Corine had bought us tickets to the 1/7 game against the Magic for my bday, so we were staying in the city on Saturday night. Before the game, she called an Uber. I was pretty excited that it turned out to be an electric vehicle, as that has been my jam ever since my biodiesel company folded in 2014.
Me and the driver, Mark, got to talking about EVs and at some point he mentioned that he's testing out various models to see which is best for transporting his drum set. Turns out he's a professional musician going back a few decades. We talked about drummers, and Carter Beauford of Dave Matthews Band came up. That is my gf's favorite band of all-time, and it turns out that Mark's band had a little moment in the spotlight for a year or two a couple decades ago.
They were signed to Polygram and Dave Matthews saw them at the Sweetwater in Mill Valley and liked them enough to have them as an opener on their tour around the year 2000. He shared a story of Dave ("an incredibly sweet man") losing his rental car and getting drunk on tequila with him. I asked him the name of his old band, and it was Box Set. Amazingly enough, I was a big fan of Box Set back in the 90s, as they fit my acoustic jam-band ways back then.
Just a crazy amazing ride to the game that turned out to be a highlight of the trip. As a side note, Mark told me that the Box Set album I was most familiar with that I used to own, their self-titled debut, was not his favorite and recommended I check out the album Lemonade. Here's a song from that album:

It's basically a Play-In Season at this point

The Dubs are tied for 6th place in the West.

Oh, come on, Orlando. They shot over 50% on threes when they faced us, and they are now 4/20 threes against the Kings tonight.
Oh, Kerr’s presser is just here

Does anybody know what the rules for buying somebody out of the Chinese basketball league are? I notice that Greg Monroe is putting up 40p, 17r, 5a/36

Steph looks comfortable enough to swish a bit.

Steve Kerr: "I'm concerned about Draymond and Loon right now, they've just played such heavy minutes."
So … are Steph and KD now the same person?
Player A: 34 years old, 30.0 ppg on .668 TS, 6.6 rpg, +7.1 pts per 100 possessions on court
Player B: 34 years old, 29.7 ppg on .673 TS, 6.7 rpg, +6.7 pts per 100 possessions on court
Player A magically reappears just as Player B goes down. Hmmmm….
Whoa. Steph now probable for the Suns game? Even 25 minutes of him (as at the start of the ‘22 playoffs) would be FAB.
