Looking forward to watching Davion Mitchell in this game. He’s had outstanding on ball defense last 2 games. I’m hoping our screen heavy offense will counter his impact. JP will have to be careful not to force anything otherwise he will find himself getting stripped and running to the rim without the ball

From the AP: “The Lakers will observe a moment of silence before tonight’s for Gen. Colin Powell, who passed away after battling cancer and Covid-19. The Lakers are said to be devastated by the loss of the 84-year-old Powell, having recently signed him to play shooting guard.”

Apparently Iggy is not playing . . . can I just say that he looks surprisingly spry and excellent defensively? Like, if he continues his great defensive play + calming ball movement in the second unit.+ contributes 5 ppg . . . what a great pickup.

On a side note, if Iggys out . . . its Moody Time!

Lots of swooning over Bjelica and with good reason. The comps that people are suggesting don't seem right though - he's certainly not as physical a presence as Jokic, nor as light on his feet as Doncic. At first the drive and dishes reminded me of Ginobili but add in rebounding and the closest player I can think of is Jae Crowder. I'd be curious how you all see the potential of Beli's game.

this Ben Simmons thing is pure comedy at this point. Morey has shat the bed so hard. You're really going to keep a distraction like that around and expect.your team to win? You think anyone is going to give you anything substantial for him in a trade?

Hes such an awful GM.

So far the Warriors have the fastest pace in the league. Certainly looks that way when they play, will be interesting to see if they can keep it up.

Not having a Dubs game yesterday was like going through the 1st day of withdrawal. The Pacers games are blocked for me even though I live at least 10 hours away [but then so are all of the games from Denver, TWolves & Bulls.] I accidentally found Raptors / Dallas [mostly horrendous - but the Mavs did actually remember how to play in the 2nd half]. Then watched Suns / Portland. Suns must have partied HARD after beating the geriatric Lakers the night before because they looked like crap. Surprisingly, the Blazers were doing a reasonably good facsimile of peak Warriors in the 2nd & 3rd qtrs. CJ got it going and then Simmons. They were so good that Dame barely played in the 2nd half. That being said, I still need a Warriors fix. Even when they turn the ball over 20+ times, they are still more watchable than the majority of NBA teams.
