Draymond does everything, plus Poole party? Way too much for Heat
"I'm afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive."
The Golden State Warriors were already a bit overpowered heading into tonight’s matchup with the super short-handed Miami Heat - a team with an injury report that reads like a Tolstoy novel.
And sure enough, the full powered return of Draymond Green, along with Jordan Poole’s new off-the-bench style buried the Heat late.
This was one of those games that another Warriors squad would have lost. A punchy Miami team, an off night for Curry (he was 3 of 17 on the night) would have been a recipe for disaster. Instead it was an episode of Cutthroat Kitchen and the Warriors cooked up a win with a basket of skittles and ramen noodles.
I’m so excited for Klay Thompson’s return that I can barely contain it, and the rest of the squad goes ahead and decides that they’re going to develop into the sort of support squad that can carry Curry on his rare off nights?
This is a special team this season.
Poole’s 32 points off the bench on 16 field goal attempts is nuts. The assists were flying, mistakes were few and far between, and the Warriors play just two more games (Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks, Thursday against the New Orleans Pelicans) before the presumed return of Klay Thompson.
Pinch me.

I’ll update these as they come through, but be sure to check out the Warriors Soundcloud for links to all post game interviews.
