Kawhi is locked up by...Luka? It looked like Kawhi was not 100% tonight.

Haliburton: We've had regular season crowds better than what we've played in the last two games

I mean... Luka had hella help on that possession, mostly from Kawhi's teammates:

1. Haren camping out at the elbow doing nothing, allowing PJ Washington to sit under the FT line to stop Kawhi from even thinking about driving middle.

2. Paul George backing out to the logo, but he isn't actually "from the logo with it", so Jones Jr gets to guard somebody else... then George and Haren cut to the same spot on the weak side and both decide to just go find somewhere else to stand.

3. Kleber able to camp in the paint for 6 seconds because the aforementioned Haren just stood there next to him for long enough that the refs could consider him to be "guarding somebody"

4. Powell tries to give Kawhi space to isolate by moving from the strong side corner to the weak side corner... only Westbrook is already there, so Kyrie can guard two at the same time... especially because PJ Washington is allowed to stand there in the passing lane.

The only teammate who did anything useful was Westbrook, who tried to cut, then pivoted to screening Kyrie to try to get Powell an open shot...

Luka also has improved his defense this season.

Mavericks beat the Clippers 96-93 and even the series 1-1.

Westbrook keeps shoving the Dallas players.

Clippers are the worst collection of so-called stars I've ever seen in my life. You've got Kawhi, Paul George, Harden and Westbrook and 80 points in a playoff game. What a joke

Well, you're not taking into account that they had to go against the stifling defense of Irving and Doncic...

This is why you shouldn't have too many aging stars on your team unless you really know how to use them.

Mavericks are 6/8 threes in the 4th quarter.

Clippers probably not the best equipped to pick on Doncic's defense

Clippers up 66-65 after 3 quarters. This game is all defense, no offense.

Protect your children and grandchildren. Don't let them watch Dallas-Clippers. Terrible offense, boneheaded play, turnovers, dumb fouls, foul grifting.

Gawd, I hate Harden and his foul baiting.

I remember some guys saying here that it wasn't worth to trade for siakam cause he was worse than wiggins.. lol

Came here to say exactly this lol. People get too attached to homegrown picks (happens to myself also)

Expand full comment

Siakam is a really good player who is a bad fit for the Warriors' current roster because he isn't a good 3 point shooter. Works great with a stretch 5 like Turner. But with Draymond/TJD not so much.

I didn’t want to give up JK for him but that ends right about there lol

I do recall the claim that Kuminga was better than Siakam

Expand full comment

I think JK will eventually be better than him. Didn't want to trade the farm which probably would have included Wiggins, JK and probably picks/Moses for a guy with an uncertain contract situation

I continue the claim

Expand full comment

Not right now no but he will be better than Siakam in a few years (homer glasses ON)

Expand full comment

I don't remember that. What most of us knew was that he was gonna cost a lot more than just Wiggins

Kawhi is playing tonight. He has 2 points and 2 steals.

Pacers beat the Bucks 125-108

Pacers over Bucks … could they really win the series? That would be a big (fun) upset for a casual fan of the NBA East like me. Nothing against the Bucks but rooting for underdogs is oddly satisfying. I’d really hate to see them rush Giannis back and him get even worse injuries.
