I liked the pick up at the time. He seemed like a good kid with an inspiring story. I understood why he was let go though. He reminds me of Bruno Caboclo "He is two years away from being two years away."

Plus I remember KD being a bit hard on him at the time, chastising him on Twitter, but in a way that felt a little cringey.

I think the Warriors have a problem evaluating draft talent and finding FAs to insert into their scheme. The last few years have been more difficult for them to find the vet FAs to sign and to mine the draft for future talent. Boucher would have been more useful than Jordan Bell but the Warriors seem to stick with players too long who are not showing the signs of development and skills that they need to stick with this team. Players almost have to be NBA ready for them to contribute on a team like ours. If Curry goes down again, who takes over, Ky Bowman? Boucher didn't ruin the dynasty, but how do you replace a guy like KD? AD? I also think Looney playing either big minutes or without injury is a pipe dream. I'd like to be wrong on this but history is too strong to ignore.

I would have preferred drafting Boucher to Jordan Bell, but who knows. I didn't realize he was already 25.
