Dub Nation HQ, I know that normally I’m a wellspring of optimism and glee for the Golden Empire’s reign of terror across the NBA.
But lemme tell you something right now brothers and sisters, the single most unmitigated anxiety inducing sign of the Golden State Warriors being in trouble has arrived:
They can’t beat the Cleveland Cavaliers.
I know. That sounds absolutely insane after what the annihalation we wrought on The Land in times past for the disrespect they showed us during the start of the Warriors dynasty. The Warriors employed the service of Kevin Durant just to make sure that LeBron James would never, ever win a title in Cleveland after 2016.
There was a crazy stat that was circulating around that I absolutely loved but also felt like couldn’t really be true.
THE WARRIORS DIDN’T LOSE TO THE CAVALIERS FOR 2,337 DAYS?!? Sheesh. But there’s a new time arising folks. The Cavaliers just beat the Warriors twice in two weeks….wtf?!

The Warriors play Minnesota today at 5:30pm PT. That’s good though because the Warriors have a player on their team who will absolutely destroy the Timberwolves. He’s been quietly slumping this season despite being a former All-Star. He was arguably the 2nd best player in the NBA Finals the Warriors won in 2022. And the Warriors need his athleticism and length more than ever.
It’s time to ring the alarm on Wiggins Island and summon TWO-WAY WIGGS.
Sigh. New thread: https://open.substack.com/pub/dubnation/p/post-game-warriors-play-tired-shoot?r=3lm3s&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
I'd really like to see TJD and JK/Moody start a game in place of Looney and Wiggs. Need guys with energy that will attack.
