Not sure that Jimmy falls into the category of 'best available player'. He certainly was that ... BUT he fits perfectly into The Dubs scheme. Just what we needed.
History shows that getting the 'best available', depending on his skill set and attitude, doesn't often improve a team ... and isn't that the idea? ... not just dramatically increasing the payroll. 'Funny' that nobody's talking / complaining about Jimmy's salary.

'Who are these guys?' indeed. They are the team that started the season 12-3, had a regular starting lineup, role players were playing their roles ... and then Melton went down. Horrible ... and in the long run we're actually better now - Jimmy doing what he always does, and instead of a good player like Melt, who has a history of injuries at the point, we got the kid, learning, getting better every game, now that Jimmy's here.
Kuminga is the wild card, will he be able to continue coming off the bench, providing another 'must guard' guy for opponents to deal with. Fitting that Iguodala was honored, as it was his willingness to come off the bench, allowing HBarnes back into the starting lineup. That all worked out pretty well.🙂
Moody seems to play better starting, and playing more minutes ... we'll duh!
Can't believe this is all happening with Jimmy still feeling our system out lol. We haven't beat any elite teams yet but we're taking care of business and that's a great sign
