Asking DNHQ: Which non-Warriors team are you watching right now?
There's a lot of good and trash basketball being played outside of the Bay.
I know you’re a fanatic for the Dubs and a loyal member of the Golden Empire, but which teams outside of the Golden State Warriors are you watching right now?
I find my eyes catching a lot of the Los Angeles Lakers drama:
There’s also the Brooklyn Nets’ circus, replete with our former Finals MVP Kevin Durant putting up mind boggling numbers after folks thought the Warriors had set him up for injury in a shortsighted chase for championships:
Joel Embiid has been a powerhouse for the 76ers, making good on his potential despite being labeled as an injury-prone bust at the start of his career:
The Boston Celtics have an 18-4 record and are the hottest team in basketball right now, showing they are hungry to avenge themselves after being wiped out in the NBA Finals by the Dubs last June:
Former Warriors coach Mike Brown has the Sacramento Kings playing with vigor, and it’s drawing the likes of 50 Cent to come LIGHT THE BEAM:
And the only thing I’m watching for with the Phoenix Suns is how many postgame workouts they’ll get in on their way to another postseason flameout:
OH NO THEY GOT TO DAMION LEE TOO?!
There are other teams besides whomever the Warriors play on a given night?
Listening to the Windhorst podcast right now looking back at the 2020 draft and Tim Bontempts calls the Wiseman pick one of the biggest mistakes in recent NBA draft history. Just how soon people forget Anthony Bennett and Hasheem Tabeeth. May not turn out to be ideal pick, but most people would agree that there is a place for JW, if not with the parent club somewhere down the line, with another ball club.
