No please. An overpaid rental (who's likely to get even more expensive) who had an anomalous good year and then subsequently had a gruesome injury and has been putting a Westbrookian efficiency since then.
Even Wiggins or Oubre straight up is somewhat of an overpay, let alone assets + one of those two (which is the probable price?).
“ League sources say the Warriors have interest in acquiring Rockets guard Victor Oladipo. The former Pacer has been up and down in his second season following a major knee injury, averaging 20 points on only 39.9 percent from the field. Golden State would not have the cap space to pursue him this summer, so the time to pounce would be now. Houston can’t demand too much in a deal given Oladipo has underwhelmed and will become an unrestricted free agent. Plus, Golden State wouldn’t have a whole lot to offer. Because of picks owed elsewhere, the Warriors are able to deal up to just two first-round picks: one from 2021 (via Minnesota) or 2022, and one from 2026 or 2027.
Golden State’s interest in Oladipo signals the front office’s intentions to find another ball handler. Curry and Draymond remain excellent offensive engines, but the Warriors are missing the next Andre Iguodala or Shaun Livingston. Could Oladipo fill that role? Though his scoring efficiency is down now, he would receive better looks when surrounded by better talent. He can also still generate shots for others off the dribble and play hard-nosed defense. The Warriors need more wing depth and another ball handler, and Oladipo should be one of the players they’re at least thinking about.”
I don’t think I’d want to give up the Minny pick, but I’d give them our pick 1-20.
I actually like this a lot. Dipo seems like a good guy who could thrive in the right environment and he's already mature enough to fit with the championship core. Not sure how we afford him, though.
We'd have to give up wiggins (don't see why rockets would do this) or oubre and pieces (don't see why warriors would do this) so I think this won't go anywhere
Yeah, hadn’t looked at the contracts. Oladipo makes $21m, so I think Wiggins makes too much. Draymond is the closest match at $25m, but that ain’t happening.
I really don’t think the Warriors are lotto-bound, considering they’re playoff bound after a tougher 1st half schedule and so many guys having missed games and camp due to injuries and Covid
Thanks for the write-up and video. What was the format of the contest? Was the first round just to decide the final two, who went head to head? Or do they do some sort of tournament format?
Good on Steph. Glad he demonstrated his dominance.
Oladipo would be such a great fit if they could get him cheap

“The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor reported Monday, citing league sources, the Warriors are interested in acquiring Houston Rockets guard Victor Oladipo.”

Here’s O’Connor’s actual blurb:

Can't say I find this that appealing... how much is he making right now?

I'm pretty sure Rockets can take Wiggins back even though he makes more. The issue is why would they
I’d rather have Wiggins than Oladipo.
Maybe a super desperate attempt to ... no never mind I can't even make something up here
Can’t risk losing our own pick if it hits lotto. Not even sure I’d want to give it up for Oladipo if it’s #5-20.

Maybe if Curry had hit the game winning 3 he’d have had a shot.
PS double Dame period.
I love watching Whose Line Is It Anyway. Everyone is awesome but Wayne Brady is super awesome.
My wife got to see him in Hamilton. Jealous!
Without Steph and Dame's half court shots it would have been a snooze fest

One 1st round and then three finalists. https://www.sportskeeda.com/basketball/breakdown-nba-all-star-2021-format-rules
