FO had all season to sign a center, instead we got another 6'3 guard for ten days. Might as well play smiley in the minutes looney out if we are getting killed on the boards, we are going to get hurt using up all our energy playing small
Are they soft? mentally weak? Inexperienced? You can see they're more than capable of playing good basketball even against the top level teams but the problem has been consistency all season. For whatever reason they're prone to going through periods of really bad basketball. We were so spoiled with high IQ guys like Iguodala, Shaun, Barbosa, West etc. etc. that we forgot what average basketball players are like.
Other people have already said this but playing 8 players for a stretch in a compressed schedule is not good. Wolves are healthy and on a streak.and full of freaking youthful energy. So may be they are not 'easy schedule' team. Saw the same thing in Kings game.
I am more pissed about the games that we squandered away in Jan/Feb/Mar - couple of them because of Kerr penchant for 'let it play out'.
Having said that, Curry is just otherworldly and Lacob is being penny wise/pound foolish. FO is not signing GPII or anyone else to save $4-$5 million. That player may not make a big difference but for sure, will soak some of the minutes which means bit more rest for these guys.
Just looked back at Apricot’s predict the future. This game was estimated as 60% chance of winning, so a loss isn’t too far out there. But now we are headed into a 5 game stretch to >90% chance of winning. It’s hard for me to imagine the squad that just got beat to rattle off a 5 game win streak but I guess it’s possible.
We lose 57-34 on the glass. Almost impossible to win with 23 less possessions. A week ago I was excited for the playoffs. Now I’m ready for the tank. I do think Oubre would have helped tonight, but our lack of center when Looney sits really hurts.
Collapse at the end - team looked out of gas, waiting for Steph to bail them out or otherwise playing their own hero ball. The smooth passing and functional teamwork seems to disappear and the individuals took it on themselves to score. And we couldn't get a stop.
As for the game itself, I've never seen Curry shoot so many weird, twisted shots at the rim. Seems like he was either getting or hoping for contact and not getting the foul calls. Also, Minnesota crushed the Dubs on the boards - every bounce seemed to go their way, or they would out-muscle the Dubs for an inside rebound and put back.
The Dubs should still make the play-in and also hold onto their draft pick. Let's hope they can get some athletic guys with size who can help.
Steph and Dray$ don’t need playoff experience sacrificing their health for the players who wouldn’t be Warriors next season. So it will be better to finish this season quick and take rest IMHO.
Okay, I am fully aware that I will seem catastrophizing, but I am beginning to be unsure whether making the playoffs would be a good thing. Last thing the FO needs is anything to justify an idea that they are on the right track, because it sure feels like they ain't.
1. I'm sorry to all those people on TV I made fun of for saying the warriors would be outside top 8. I am an idiot.
2. Towards the beginning of the game, we gave up a wide open 3 to Rubio I believe and Fitz was like much better defense this game. I'm like no it's not cause these are the same open looks we give up to every team and that's how you get these 10-0 or 28-0 runs. And low and behold we kept leaving them open and of course they start stroking it.
In my opinion that strategy shouldn't be implemented when you're not guarding someone like Harden, Kd, Lebron (or Steph for other teams) since those guys can actually beat you by themselves. But what do I know since I'm not a coach
Welp is right. On to next season.

Pelicans are only 3 games behind the Warriors now. Not 3.5.
Glad I missed this one...

By my calculation, we are the #17 of the best in the league. There is little chance that the team will lose that pick and be in the top 10.
Missed the game. Words fail to describe my level of irritation. This is some ignominious shit
