I'll give the Lendeborg pick a B-/B, marked down for philosophical reasons as he is 24 years old and I think the Warriors should have been trying to find a guy to build around post-Curry. If the Thunder took him I'd give it an A+ but I don't think the Warriors are a Lendeborg away. I do think he can play though, and I've said before that I am intrigued by his seeming ability to play smallball center given his measurements, should give him nice versatility and makes him less dependent on his three pointer which is good.
Hopefully there is some extra benefit to taking someone like Lendeborg versus someone a few years away in the lottery reform era. I mean hopefully he is ready right away, some of these older guys were supposed to be but weren't.
He will probably dominate Summer League, and he needs to or else I'll take it as a bad sign.

You draft an 18 or 19 year old that is not a top super pick, you are hoping he develops in a few years and then gives us 10 good years.

But some of those guys are good right away, and some of the older prospects aren't ready "starting immediately". I don't think age can be cleanly used as a barometer of NBA readiness.
C+/B- for the same reason. He’ll probably be a solid role player for the next 5 years maybe even a good starter eventually, but why do we need to draft for that? Is he really significantly better than anybody we could snag in free agency or out of the g league, or as part of a bigger trade? This was the time to take a swing on future stars.
Yeah, I dunno, C+/B- might be a better call. I also think that the pick is in theory a trade chip as well, if you pick a perceived "high upside guy" they retain more trade value going forward than if you pick a perceived "low upside guy". So I don't know if a pick like this gives them much "optionality" in that sense.
Sure hope the Warriors have a plan to get a high level shot creator onto the roster within the next few years, seems like the draft was as good an opportunity as any.

I like Quaintance for Spurs. If he has a Robert Williams where he’s an impact guy when healthy but battles injuries consistently they can live with that. If he’s healthy for two of the next four playoff runs maybe he’s a difference maker.
He can play with Wemby too. He could be mobile enough and Wemby could play like a 4 on O.
Reed might be able to as well. Adding two 6’10 260 caddies/bodyguards for Wemby is a smart play. Beefed up

Someone said Buddy Hield is the best 24 year old drafted in the lottery in the last 25 years.
Let’s hope Yaxel is better than that, though a Buddy type career would definitely be a success with the #11 pick

Would have been nice to lure Simons here as a band-aid but Miami feels like the perfect spot for him now

they already have kornet though. one of the best backup 5s in the league
Kornet is a very good regular season minutes eater, but can’t play with Wemby and doesn’t really give you any matchup advantages in the playoffs.
Both Reed and Quaintance are more mobile and physical. Quaintance especially could be a real playoff weapon.
Reed offers healthier depth and beef for now, and they could trade Kornet and his salary when they start having to pay guys.
He will also be great practice for Wembanyama to go against in practice
