📱 Stephen Curry’s #BangBang at OKC: more unique looks
👆NOTE: The above is in portrait mode…
On Friday, March 20, 2020, the NBA announced their #NBATogether initiative and re-broadcast via livestream the February 27, 2016 matchup featuring the Golden State Warriors at the Oklahoma City Thunder. Yes, that was the famed, “Bang! Bang!” — Mike Breen voice — shot heard ‘round the world (analysis: here) by Stephen Curry, a game-winning buzzer-beater with 0.6 to go in overtime.
Incidentally, if you want the actual highlights of the game, just Google it. It’s everywhere on YouTube.
But, lest we forget, this was also the game where Draymond Green yelled, “I’m not a robot!” at Steve Kerr during halftime, as well as Curry not only tying the then-record of made threes in a game (he hit 12 that night), but also breaking the single-season record at the time (286 made threes up until that point).
Our footage here includes reactions of the re-broadcast from Festus Ezeli and Al Horford, and an old Vine of Andre Iguodala tying the game after an incredible sequence involving a trap on Kevin Durant, a steal by Klay Thompson, a save by Green and the jumper by Iguodala drawing the foul on Durant at the end of regulation. We also have exclusive photos from LetsGoWarriors friend and NBA agent, Qais Haider (@qhaider on IG), and a little bit of copyright-free from @iksonofficial (“Do It”) to spice things up.
The NBA footage from the #BangBang play as well as the postgame TV interview between Steph and Lisa Salters has been “chopped up” a little to adhere to NBA rights.
